Rajasaurus, the Deadly Indian Dinosaur

Rajasaurus, the Deadly Indian Dinosaur Otherwise called theropods, meat-eating dinosaurs-including raptors, tyrannosaurs, carnosaurs, and such a large number of other - saurs to list here-had a wide conveyance during the later Mesozoic Era, from around 100 to 65 million years prior. An in any case unremarkable predator, with the exception of its little head peak, Rajasaurus lived in what is currently cutting edge India, not an exceptionally productive area for fossil disclosures. It has assumed control more than 20 years to recreate this dinosaur from its dispersed stays, found in Gujarat in the mid 1980s. (Dinosaur fossils are generally uncommon in India, which clarifies why the majestic word Raja, which means sovereign, was offered on this meat eater. Strangely, the most well-known Indian fossils are tribal whales dating from the Eocene age, a huge number of years after the dinosaurs went wiped out!) For what reason did Rajasaurus have a head peak, an uncommon component in carnivores that said something the one-ton-and-over range? The most probable clarification is this was an explicitly chosen trademark, since vividly peaked Rajasaurus guys (or females) were progressively alluring to the other gender during mating season-in this way assisting with spreading this attribute through succeeding ages. Its likewise important that Carnotaurus, a nearby contemporary of Rajasaurus from South America, is the main recognized meat-eating dinosaur with horns; maybe there was something in the transformative air in those days that chose for this trademark. It might likewise be the situation that the peak of Rajasaurus flushed pink (or some other shading) as a methods for flagging other pack individuals. Presently that weve built up that Rajasaurus was a meat-eater, what, precisely, did this dinosaur eat? Given the lack of Indian dinosaur fossils, we can just hypothesize, however a decent applicant would be titanosaurs-the monstrous, four-legged, little brained dinosaurs that had a worldwide circulation during the later Mesozoic Era. Unmistakably, a dinosaur the size of Rajasaurus couldnt would like to bring down a full-developed titanosaur without anyone else, however its conceivable that this theropod chased in packs, or that it took out recently brought forth, older, or harmed people. Like different dinosaurs of its sort, Rajasaurus presumably preyed deftly on littler ornithopods and even on its kindred theropods; for all we know, it might even have been a periodic barbarian. Rajasaurus has been delegated a sort of huge theropod known as an abelisaur, and was along these lines firmly identified with the eponymous individual from this variety, the South American Abelisaurus. It was additionally close kinfolk to theâ comically short-outfitted Carnotaurus referenced above and the alleged barbarian dinosaur Majungasaurus from Madagascar. The family similarity can be clarified by the way that India and South America (just as Africa and Madagascar) were combined in the mammoth mainland Gondwana during the early Cretaceous time frame, when the last basic progenitor of these dinosaurs lived. Name: Rajasaurus (Hindi/Greek for sovereign reptile); articulated RAH-jah-SORE-us Environment: Forests of India Authentic Period: Late Cretaceous (70-65 million years back) Size and Weight: Around 30 feet in length and one ton Diet: Meat Recognizing Characteristics: Moderate size; bipedal stance; particular peak on head

Winston and Offred Essay Example

Winston and Offred Paper 1. How do Orwell and Atwood depict the strains that exist between the individual and the requests of an extremist state? Atwood and Orwell have made writings that uncover the engineering of extremist states. Their intricate and influential thoughts are the consistent results of inquiries that challenge current circumstances. They have indicated that the substance of extremist states is control. By having control, their tyrant rule extends by mentally catching every individual into accepting that what the state is doing is ethically right. The limits of a people mind under persecution from these states are constrained by confining things that we esteem most in the current society, (for example, the opportunity of settling on choices and talking generously), in this way making it simple for the state to enter every individual convictions and control them. Be that as it may, any place there is a framework focusing on mistreatment, there will consistently be an insubordination, thus we are acquainted with the heroes of these accounts, Winston and Offred. What makes their job outstanding in this general public is their mystery defiance, tricky, somewhat, to the states eyes. Notwithstanding the way that they are outstanding in their jobs, they are as yet odd characters to be delegated chivalrous. On account of Winston, just as mental, he likewise has numerous physical defects that appear to challenge the cliché qualities of a chivalrous character, Winston, who was thirty nine and had a varicose ulcer over his correct lower leg, went gradually, laying a few times in transit. (Pg3). Orwell truly draws out the crudeness of Winstons brave encounters. He can even now be viewed as brave as he is in a manner battling to live in this general public. We will compose a custom article test on Winston and Offred explicitly for you for just $16.38 $13.9/page Request now We will compose a custom exposition test on Winston and Offred explicitly for you FOR ONLY $16.38 $13.9/page Recruit Writer We will compose a custom exposition test on Winston and Offred explicitly for you FOR ONLY $16.38 $13.9/page Recruit Writer In any case, there is by all accounts no uniqueness to him in this statement. Truth be told, the initial introduction that it provides for the peruser isn't one which you would anticipate from the depiction of a chivalrous character, theres no strict acknowledgment to the way that Winston is the legend. While considering Offred, in spite of the fact that she doesn't have numerous physical imperfections, there are as yet perceptible deformities, for example, her consistent dread, and her dependence on others for an effective insubordination; trust is ascending in me, similar to a sap in a tree. Blood in an injury. We have made an opening. (Pg178). This is Offreds response after discovering the genuine foundation of Ofglen and is prominently human. At first, the perusers initial introduction of her would not prompt the analysis of her job as a legend as expressly as Winstons job in Nineteen Eighty Four, and yet her job would not be viewed as gallant. The blemishes in Offered are simply the substance of human instinct, opposing the uniqueness found in a chivalrous character. However still, they are both the picked characters to be the establishment of the pressures among them and the extremist states. The requests of the extremist states are the very explanation behind the demonstration of mysterious rebellion from both Offred and Winston. The urgency of the two characters is to be liberated from such necessities. It is in certainty the requests of the authoritarian expresses that spur the two heroes to do such activities. They can think about at various times social orders, as a result of the means of the past in their recollections, and the presence of the real factors that the two of them face; it is the past that causes the two characters to understand that the general public by and by in presence isn't right. As portrayed before, the limitation of the social variables significant our general public (Liberal activities and dynamic) was the states methodology, however simultaneously it was additionally the introduction of people like Winston and Offred who might in every case covertly contradict such a technique. Their memory of the past resembled a palimpsest; a steady assessment of the at various times social orders would happen in their psyches, and this would prompt an acknowledgment of the social distortion that has occurred after some time under the standard of such religious and ethically off base states. Despite the fact that, in Winstons case, his memory of the past is ambiguous, it is as yet the main path for him to seek after an issue in his general public. In Offreds case, her memory of the past is solid, since she isn't experiencing a daily reality such that idea isnt free; she is as yet ready to sit, and disguise herself in dreams of the past, without the steady stressing of the invasion of her psyche; But the night is my break. Where would it be advisable for me to go? Some place great. (Pg47) You can see the degree of her opportunity in this statement, she has definitely no issue entering the method of examination, and can think generously, as she says, the night is her break, which implies that its her own time, nobody is there. Nonetheless, it could be contended that on account of the composing style that Orwell adjusts, which is in third individual; we can't get a decent look at the considerations going through Winstons head. In first individual, which Atwood utilizes, you can feel what the characters is feeling, and get a decent perspective on their aims. The underlying intentions of the two characters are the equivalent, consequently to get away from the requests of the states. Be that as it may, their methods of fulfillment of such aspirations are extraordinary, most presumably as a result of the distinction between their social orders. Orwell has made a general public that is colossally claustrophobic; each choice made by a person in the general public of Nineteen Eighty Four is actually the choice of the province of Big Brother.

Number Properties and Factor Trees On the SAT

SAT math loves number properties almost as much as it loves triangles. Of course, that’s actually a wide range of topics. Number properties describe how integers can be broken down, combined, or worked with in different ways; exponent patterns, odds and evens, positives and negatives, and divisibility all fall under the number property umbrella, as do others. Getting these question right on your SAT comes down to a few things. The most important is simply knowing rules (e.g. negative times negative is positive). Beyond that, you also have to be capable of finding patterns in numbers. Doing a little bit of experimenting and looking for rhyme or reason pays off. You also have to see numbers inside numbers. That is, if you see a 21, you should immediately recognize that’s 7 times 3 and be ready to work with that fact. Questions that ask about factors and multiples are perfect examples of how the SAT assesses that skill. Splitting integers up You’re probably already pretty familiar with factor trees, so I’m not going to bore you with how to make one. But just in case you’re a little fuzzy on what it looks like: †¦such a comfortable, familiar shape. I learned how to draw a Christmas tree like that when I was in kindergarten and I’ve been doing it ever since. (Clearly, I am quite the artist.) By the way, you should remember that those factors hanging off of the very bottom of our tree are all prime numbers. Least Common Multiple Though the SAT rarely uses the terms, you should definitely be comfortable finding both least common multiples and the greatest common factors before you take the test. The LCM is the smallest number that includes all of the prime factors of both numbers. Sometimes that means just multiplying all of the numbers together if the two numbers don’t share any common factors. Sometimes it means taking just as many as you need. Since to the list. Now let’s combine that 2 with pairs of the other prime factors. Add 12, 28, and , 21, 28, 42, 84. If you have to get all the factors of a number, do it systematically. Don’t just start listing whatever you can think of—you’re bound to miss one that way. And never forget 1 and the number itself.

The Epistemology Of The Decision Making Process Of Burglars

The aim of this essay is to attempt to identify the epistemology implicated in the research conducted by Emmeline Taylor about the decision making process of burglars. Essay begins with a concise definition of Criminology and a brief outline of ‘Rational Choice Theory’ which can be utilised to understand the decision making process of offenders and to provide a background for the notion of the rationality among burglars whilst acting criminal behaviour. Then it will continue with the explanation of the some key notions underpinning the theoretical assumptions of a study to be presented. It will conclude with the final consideration of epistemological stance of the study. Coined as a term by an Italian criminologist Raffaele Garofalo in 1885, Criminology, studies the extent, cause and nature of crime and criminal behaviour in a systematic way (Lanier and Henry, 2004). In a widest sense, Criminological approach comprises â€Å"the study of various forms of crime, offenders, formulation of laws, various processes of law enforcement and criminal justice, policy and practice in punishment, attempts to control, reduce or prevent crime, investigation of the victims of crime† (Coleman and Norris, 2000, pp. 13). The decision making process of the offenders and the factors that affect their decisions gain popularity among researchers. However, as Wright and Bennet (1990) argued, despite the importance of the offenders’ perspective in committing crime, little attention has paid by the

Portayal of the King in Shakespeares Tragedy of Hamlet

Analysis of Shakespeare During Elizabethan times, the survival and longevity of the king or queen was essential for the subjects of the kingdom. The monarchy unified the kingdom, saw to its prosperity, and protected its subjects from foreign invasion. The king was the most important person within the kingdom and without him the kingdom would collapse. Shakespeare echoes this thought back to his audience in The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, Act 3, Scene3, lines 11 through 23 through a passage recited by Rosencrantz. In lines 1 through 7, King Claudius is ordering Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to take the now-deemed-mad Hamlet to England. In other words, if something malicious were to occur to King Claudius, i.e. Prince Hamlet murdering King Claudius, the affects of Claudius death would have wide spread implications, hence the death of the king is more complex that that of the common person. Rosencrantz completes his affirmation stating the following: It [the death of the king] is a massy wheel [a wheel having considerable bulk or volume] Fixed on the summit [the highest elevation] of the highest mount [the highest mountain], To whose huge spokes [the spokes of this massive wheel] ten thousand lesser things Are mortised [fastened or joined securely; joined together closely and firmly] and adjoined [joined as an adjunct, added, annexed, attached; appended or subjoined], which when it [the wheel; the king] falls Each small annexment [that which is joined together without subordination of one to the other], petty [of little importance, insignificant, or trivial] consequence [a circumstance which follows as a result of something preceding], Attends the boistrous [rough, violent] ruin. Goffman s Contributions On The Theory Of Social Stigma

I have chosen to examine Irving Goffman’s contributions to the theory of social stigma, specifically through the perspectives presented in Stigma: Notes on the Management of Spoiled Identity. My analysis of this work leads me to imagine communication as a mask, possessing the ability to shield the wearer’s actual social identity from observers. This metaphor has utility because it provides a concrete way to conceptualize a portion of the complex web of presentation and interpretations that accompany communicative interaction with an individual who is perceived to have an attribute that positions them as significantly other. When I originally proposed communication as a mask, I was envisioning the mask as noise designed to act as a barrier to communication. However, once I became aware of Goffman’s work, I realized that this particular conception of communication provides specific advantages for the stigmatized in a way that acknowledges the constant vigilance and level of effort that a stigmatized individual must put forth in order to engage with a normal without revealing their attribute. Thus, I have chosen this perspective because it disturbed my default understanding of communication as an exchange between two normals. It may enable those who use it to develop insight into the experiences of those who perceive co mmunicative interactions differently then themselves. Rational Decision Making Model Essay Example For Students

Rational Decision Making Model Essay Abstract What is a decision? The word decision can be defined as, the act of reaching a conclusion or making up ones mind (American Heritage, 2000). Essentially, a decision is a choice that an individual or a group of people makes. A decision can be a single action, an entire process, or even just a single spoken word or gesture. Decision-making is one of the defining characteristics of leadership. Making decisions is what managers and leaders are paid to do, and is an integral part of their days duties. The affects of decisions can range from minor in consequence to life or career threatening. Regardless of the consequences, it is important to understand when a decision needs to be made and the best way to make it. This paper will focus on the Rational Model for decision-making. The first section will describe the Rational Model for decision-making. It will identify all the steps of the Rational Model and what they entail. The second section will detail a recent job-related issue I was involved with. I will discuss the issue and show how the Rational Model of decision-making was effectively utilized to reach a decision. Decision Making Model The Rational Model A decision is a solution chosen from among alternatives. Decisions must be made when a person is faced with a problem or an issue that needs resolution. Decision-making is the process of selecting a course of action (ideas or alternatives) that will solve a problem and resolve any issues. Decision-making models provide people with a method for making decisions. There are numerous decision-making methods people utilize today. Some are meant to be all encompassing, meaning they can be utilized in many different environments. Others are specific to issues or industries, such as technology, psychology, and mathematics. Regardless of the problem, there is usually a decision-making process that is best suited for any situation, and it is up to us to find it. The Rational Model Definition According to the School of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State University, the Rational Model of decision-making, requires comprehensive problem definition, an exhaustive search for alternatives, and thorough data collection and analysis. According to this model, information exchange and communication are unbiased, and accurate decision alternatives are intentionally chosen to bring maximum benefits to the individual, organization or group (2003, p. 3). Essentially, the Rational Model requires people to have a clear understanding of the actual problem. Unless the issue is clearly established, the Rational Model can be ineffective. This model also incorporates extensive research, so that all options or alternatives can be brought before the decision-maker(s). The Rational Model is a step-by-step decision-making model. Depending on the source of definition for the Rational Model, it consists of anywhere from four to nine steps that must be taken to reach a comprehensive, educated and effective solution. Basically, the Rational Model can be broken down into four basic steps, which can be further diluted to create the additional three to five steps. Step 1 Define the Problem The first step of the Rational Model is to define the problem. As stated in the definition, in order for the Rational Model to be effective, the problem or issue needs to be clearly understood. It is imperative to truly understand to source of a problem, not just the symptoms. The MBA program at the University of Houston Victoria provides this example, if a member of your staff is impolite to a client on the phone, the problem may not be that your staff member is impoliteit may be that he needs customer service training, or that he is having difficulty coping with the stress that his professional responsibilities involve (2005). Essentially, the virus needs to be treated, not the cough it causes. Step 2 Generate Ideas/Alternatives The second step to the Rational Method is the generation of a list of possible solutions or alternatives. .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c , .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c .postImageUrl , .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c , .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c:hover , .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c:visited , .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c:active { border:0!important; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c:active , .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .ue7dbb6a02c4503bdfad1cd7f3e684f9c:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Moby Dick - Characters of Captain Ahab and Ishmael Essay The Rational Method requires that all possible solutions to a problem be discovered. This report compares the business performance in year 201X with the performance in year 201Y. Liquidity Analysis Liquidity analysis helps to measure the company ability to pay the short term liabilities through using the short term assets. This analysis evaluated the working capital status during the financial years and any discrepancy arises due to that. To evaluate the liquidity performance of the company, ratios like current ratio and quick are calculated. The current ratio measures the current assets divided by the current liabilities. It means, current ratios check amount of current assets company reserves to pay the current liabilities (Bull, 2007). Current ratio of the Ace Hardware was 1.47 times in year 201Y and it was increased to 1.71 times in year 201X. This shows that in the current year, amount of current assets has increased a lot more to pay the small increase in the current liabilities in year 201X. Increase in current assets in year 201X shows that liquidity position of the company was strong as compare to liquidity position in year 201Y. Quick Ratio also measures the liquidity position of the company but it ignore current assets such as inventory and prepaid expenses while making the calculation of quick assets. The main reason to not consider the inventory and prepaid expenses while making calculation of quick assets is that these assets do not provide quick availability cash and cash equivalents in the short period of time. Quick assets of the Ace Hardware was 0.61 times in year 201Y and it got increased to 0.68 times in year 201X that shows that financial performance of company was slightly increased in the current year as there was increase in short term assets during the year. Financial Flexibility Analysis Every Company requires funds to finance the business operations and to purchase fixed assets. Sources of capital are mainly divided into two category equity and debt capital. Equity capital refers to owners capital and it does bear any fixed charge on the income of the company (Fridson and Alvarez, 2011). On the other hand debt capital refers to outside capitals that are financed through banks or financial institutions. Debt capital bears the fixed charge on the profit of the company and this finance charge has to be paid irrespective of profit or loss to the company in the particular year. Debt and debt equity ratio are some of ratios that are consider for making the evaluation of the financial flexibility analysis. Debt ratio of Ace hardware in year 201Y was 0.99 times which indicates that almost 99% of the capital has been financed through the debt capital and in year 201X it was 97% that shows company financial position was highly leverage and due to this company has to bear fixe d interest charge every year. Operating Capability Operating capability means how efficient the company was in managing the business operations during the year (Fridson and Alvarez, 2011). For this purpose ratio like inventory turnover ratio, account receivable turnover ratios are being calculated to check the operating performance of the company. Inventory turnover ratio was 6.12 times in 201Y that indicates company has converted their inventory into sales only 6.12 times during the year. This reflects poor operation capability. Accounts receivable Turnover was 7.22 times in year 201Y that indicates that company allows credit of more than 45 days to their customers that is too large for such small business. Profitability Analysis Ratios like Gross profit margin, net profit margin, return on total assets and return on total shareholders equity are being calculated to evaluate the profitability of the company. Gross profit margin was highly dissatisfactory for the Ace Hardware Company as company mark up their goods at very low margin that do not even cover the operating expenses. Company has earned negligible amount of net profit during both the years (Drake and Fabozzi, 2012). This was same with ratios like return on total assets and return on total shareholders equity. So overall it can be said that profitability position of the company was highly negative and it requires quick response of the management. Conclusion Financial analysis is very important as it helps in evaluating the financial performance of the company during the year and also helps in comparing the financial performance of one year with the financial performance of other year. Financial performance of Ace Hardware was not good in both the year and it requires management to check the problems and make changes accordingly. References Bull, R. 2007. My Living Room free essay sample

Affected by my mother hobby, I bought two small artificial flower bases to decorate for my room in Canada. Actually, before going to school I see them and feel very active to start with a new day. The living room is designed by my mother with a very big and warm sofa and a sofa table. There are six tea cups and a tea pot above the sofa table also. The whole tea pot is very beautiful and always used to welcome the guests who visit our home. My father has a collection of wines and he puts all kinds of wines to the sideboard. Furthermore, in the evening the lights will be turned on to make the sideboard shine sparklingly. They are very valuable to my father so my brother, sister and I hardly stand near that sideboard. Because we are afraid of broking them and sure we will be punished. We will write a custom essay sample on My Living Room or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page When shopping in Superstore, I usually notice some kinds of wine which my father likes. I attend to buy some wine bottles for my father when I come back home to visit. Our family can enjoy singing karaoke or watching movies together with all modern facilities such as the amply, the big TV and the DVD player facilitated by my father. Last week, when I joined to a friend’s party, there was a big TV and we watched an action movie together. That reminded me to my familiar living room. And the best thing I like in the living room is my piano which always makes me feel relax when I have a pressure in life. I have played the piano since I was fifteen years old. While I am playing the piano, I feel happy so much and seem like all the stressful things are getting out of my head. So that sometimes I feel stressful I will play the piano. Here I don’t have the piano to play so I choose some classic songs played by piano to listen for entertainment. Besides, the whole living room is full of the painting oil pictures were painted by my sister. She enjoys painting so much and her pictures are wonderful. Before I come here, she gave me her favorite picture in order to hang in my room and I really appreciated her action. There is also a bookshelf with a lots of books and some of my passion books: Harry potter, Chicken soup†¦ My family member often spend spare times reading book here. Now I still keep the habit to read books before I go to sleep. I really miss my living room in my hometown and in the future if I can hire the house with a living room here I will decorate it the same with my hometown living room.

Writing An Essay - What is an Outline For?

Writing An Essay - What is an Outline For?First off, let me say that the outline in writing an essay is not only a useful tool to keep you organized and focused in the writing process, but it is also important to the quality of your essay. Without a well-planned outline, your ideas could run out of steam or even veer into sub-par writing. You need to come up with a general idea of what your essay will consist of before you start thinking about writing it. That way, you won't have to go back over your thoughts. What is an outline for? The outline is a basic overview of your ideas, sentences, and paragraphs, showing you where they all are in relation to one another. It does not need to be so detailed that it becomes an encyclopedia, just enough to get you on the right track. In fact, your outline should never become too long, because that will slow you down and may cause you to overlook certain parts. I like to write a two-page outline and use it as a reference for my first draft. There are many ways you can use an outline in writing an essay. A general outline is probably the best, but the outline in writing an essay sample works great for certain sections of your essay. Here are a few examples:What I write in the introduction is something I know I am going to cover in the body, because I have a general idea of what I am going to talk about. In my outline in writing an essay sample, I write this paragraph first and then go back and write the body and the conclusion of the chapter or the essay. It is not always necessary to use the outline in writing an essay sample, but it will help if you want to be sure that you are on the right track. It is very easy to get confused, especially when you are outlining for the first time.I find it useful to write an outline in writing an essay sample that explains what I am going to do from paragraph one to paragraph ten. That way, I know what I am getting into. I will not have to re-write each paragraph; I can just refer to my ou tline when I'm stuck or before I need to revise a particular section. As a writer, you want to spend less time worrying about what is happening in the piece than worrying about what the outline means. In that case, I like to write a chapter outline in writing an essay sample that gives me a general idea of what I am going to write. I use that outline in writing an essay sample as my reference point for each paragraph and the rest of the body.Summary. If you are going to write an essay about something specific, you will need to include it in your outline. Just make sure that you don't include the whole thing in your outline. What is considered a good summary is about seventy percent of the whole essay.I don't know about you, but I always seem to find myself editing out too much in my outlines. It just seems easier and more comfortable to have everything on one page. Make sure you use your outline in writing an essay sample to make sure that everything fits together.

Terrorist Attack in Paris, France Essays - Reactions, Free Essays

Terrorist Attack in Paris, France Essays - Reactions, Free Essays Terrorist Attack in Paris, France The recent Paris attack is very devastating and makes becomes fearful. I am very mournful for the family members, and I can only imagine how devastating it must be to loose a person knowing they were an innocent victim to an attack. When this occurred I felt horrendous because these people were innocent who were just living everyday life. Maybe some of these victims were parents, young children, grandparents, tourist, outstanding citizens, and so on. They will unfortunately never be able to enjoy living the rest of their lives knowing what it could have been. Or watch their children grow up, and be there for all of their life milestones. One of the reasons why I am fearful is because there, maybe other arrangements for an attack, and possibly the United States. No one will ever know unfortunately until the day comes which makes it aggravating. Myself personally I travel quite frequently to visit my family, and vise versa. It is heart breaking to even think what if myself, or someone I know is at the wrong place at the wrong time? I will currently be traveling during this holiday season, and I have apprehension if it is safe. One of the celebrities who spoke out at her recent concert was Madonna. In the middle of her concert, she made a speech to pay her respects for the victims and their families. She was considering canceling her show, and was unsure if it would be safe to continue. She also thought that we all should live our lives, and we should not live in fear to terrorism. I thought it took a lot of courage and bravery to say something like that, and she made a very valid point. This reminded me back to when the movie "The Interview" was released last year. It was a whimsical film about assassinating the dictator, North Korea's Kim Jon Un. Before the film hit its release date to theatres, the United States received a threat from North Korea. Due to this threat they decided to pull the film from all theatres entirely. My reaction was why should we the United States back down from terrorism? Eventually the film was re-released into theatres nation wide. I believed that should have been done from t he beginning. I find this a similar situation to what Madonna was trying to express at her concert. My personal opinion is I wish that President Obama would take more of an action to do something with Isis. It should be put to a halt with terrorism, before another devastating attack happens.

Sword Manufacturing of the Early, High, and Late Medieval Period Essay

Sword Manufacturing of the Early, High, and Late Medieval Period - Essay Example This symbolic importance was even shown in the Medieval swords design as the cross guard was framed over the handle of the sword to resemble a Christian cross. This gave the Knight the privilege to utilize the sword to protect the Christian religion. Medieval swords additionally highlighted some type of engravings. The engravings on Medieval Swords could incorporate the sword owners name and prayers to God. Engravings could likewise be simply decorations. Enhanced sword designs occurred around 1,300 and 1,500 A.D. Striking inventive sword designs had a longer grip, which permitted swordsmen to utilize two hands in battle. Long swords began to be generally utilized during the Late Middle Ages. The fame of the long sword developed because of enhanced functionality in cutting and thrusting as well as its far reaching ability (Wigelsworth, 2006). Sword smiths in northern Europe found a strategy for sword making whereby different bits of iron as well as steel bars of diverse hardness were joined by bending and folding them together. This was the method used in Europe during the early middle Ages. The capacity to work metal along these lines to make high quality swords depended on the quality of the metal used. This process was quite long and the sword smiths could take a substantial amount of time before completing one sword. This meant that the production of swords was quite slow According to Nelson & Theuws (2000), high middle age was a period of great innovation in sword making. It is during this period that sword smiths tried out different processes to acquire the best raw materials for sword making. During this period, the sword smith got to understand the processes of acquiring high quality swords without using unnecessary processes. It is during this period that the production of swords began to increase. During the late middle age, the sword smiths had perfected their skills in sword making and were aware of the important processes needed to

Nu Metal as A Genre in Music Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

Nu Metal as A Genre in Music - Essay Example If addiction is to be defined with respect to music then it is love and passion. Music takes many forms. Each genre is unique. Styles, region and origin make them apart but music brings them together. A very special genre of music that embeds power and melody in a magical harmony is Rock Music. Rock music has its origin in the late 1940's in the United States (Christe, Ian 2003).Typically, Rock music is accompanied by Guitar, Bass, Drums and often a Keyboard. Vocals play a prominent role in this form of music. Much attention goes towards the melody in vocals and the Electric guitar dominates the foreground. In the beginning Rock music was primarily popular in United Kingdom and the United States but by 1960's it started to gain world wide popularity. Chuck berry in 1955 invented Rock and Roll (Christe, Ian 2003). It was after him that the British blues had come up with increased speed of their rhythm guitars. Their music had a driving power that no other music on earth had. A few years later Beatles band was formed. This band went on to achieve world wide success. They were the first proponents to bring guitars on to stage. They turned their music into a mass media attraction. Various forms of rock music were derived later and each had its own significance. The evolution of various genres in rock music is mainly associated with time. In 1960's a blend of Rock music with folk and jazz respectively came up and were known as Folk rock and Jazz rock. In 1970's a number of subgenres of rock music came up with the influence of soul and self importance. These include soft rock, progressive rock, art rock, techno rock, synth rock and punk rock. (Christe, Ian 2003) 1980's was the golden era in the history of rock music that saw the birth of hard rock, heavy metal and alternate rock. Thanks to bands like Metallica (Thrash metal), Megadeth (Speed Metal) and Iron Maiden (Hard Rock) that shook the world with almost all of their albums striking gold. They obsessed death, pain, hatred and evils in the society and that reflected in their lyrics as well. This drew the angry young crowd towards Metal Mania that spread like plague across the world in no time. Rock music established itself as a major business at International level. 1990's saw the time for Grunge style rock, Brit pop and Indie Rock. A new musical genre in the mid 90's that has its origin from Alternate metal, Thrash and Hard rock came up as "NU METAL". (Kitts, Jeff and Tolinski, Brad 2002) Apart from these forms many others like punk rock, psychedelic rock, soulful rock; Speed Metal, Black Metal, Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Underground, fusion etc have come up with improvements over their ancestral or base forms of Rock music. Each of these forms of Rock music has its own history and origin specifics and bands that are real professionals. Each form has its own pros and difficulty level in composing and performing. Each has its own way of drawing crowds towards it. Creativity in each and every aspect of the basic attributes associated with Rock music is what differentiates these genres of Rock music. Nu Metal: A new Genre A new perception arrived in the minds of the people that style in performance

Echo Personality Disorder :: essays research papers

Echo Personality Disorder is a specific and highly differentiated form of dependency, marked by behaviours of compliance and a need to 'mirror' significant others -parents, spouse, friends, employer. It has been found that those with EPD are highly attracted to relationships with individuals who show marked narcissistic tendencies. This mirroring behaviour was the reason for choosing the name Echo personality disorder, which is based on the Greek myth of Narcissus and Echo. In this story Echo, a forest nymph, falls completely in love with the egocentric youth Narcissus, and when he shows clear signs of rejecting her, she persists in her attatchement to him and will not be moved from her aim. She finally satisfies him with the masochistic task of echoing back to him all that he says. This too is the central feature of EPD behaviour in relationships, where the individual will mirror, echo, and compliment another at the expense of their own self-worth and dignity. Self descriptions by EPD sufferers focus strongly on percieved fears of abandonment, rejection, and loss, and these agonizing feelings are the driving force behind the above-mentioned interpersonal coping style (mirroring others). These individuals protect themselves from abandonment/rejection by being so agreeable to others, via their mirroring capacity, that chances of re-experiencing abandonment agony is brought to a low minimum. Unfortunately this approach amounts to a false existence with little or no true self expression, and eventually leads to poor psychological health. Characteristic experiential history for EPD often involves individuals being parented by caretakers who are themselves self-absorbed or narcissistic. In this environment the child learns that asserting ones true self will be met with a form of (often serial) rejection, to which they respond by substituting compliant behaviour in place of true selfhood. This 'compliant' behaviour can then be witnessed as a stable feature throughout the childs growing-up years, with other school children, and within the family. Depression, smoking, alcoholism, addictive behaviour all occur with very high frequency in this disorder. On a positive note, EPD people are excellent contributors to society, and to family, as they are found to be very perceptive of the needs of others.

Aka Anta! Aka Anta

She was beautiful to last. One day, when she was taking a stroll, she met a young prince who happened to pass by. The prince was very handsome. When she first saw the prince she felt a strong sensation for him. So did the prince for her. They exchange pleasantries and search each other's feelings out. Everyday from then on they would go out together, until one day the prince revealed his true feelings to the princess. So since the princess had long et her heart for the prince, she didn't hesitate anymore and at once accepted his love for her.One afternoon after their usual walk together, the two engaged in a most intimate conversation under the sweet-scented plants kept by the princess. â€Å"Marring Magna†, how lovely your flowers are, but the flowers in our kingdom are far more beautiful and fragrant. None of those here could compare with them. † â€Å"Really? Tell me where your kingdom is? † â€Å"Yonder in those parts where no mortals can go. After a little w hile more, the prince bade goodbye with a sad look in his face. This prompted Marring Magna to ask the prince the reason why. â€Å"Well it's because the prince couldn't find the right words to explain himself. Well, because of what? What seems to be the trouble? † the princess kept skins, suspecting something was wrong. â€Å"l must return home, if not, I will not be able to return home to our kingdom anymore. I want very much to bring you along with me, but such is not permissible. Your kind is not allowed in our kingdom. Thus, farewell, my love. † â€Å"Come back tonight will wait for you here in the garden. Please, you'll come back? ‘ â€Å"I'll try, Marring Magna,† the prince promised. It was close to midnight when the prince came. He was greeted by the princess who waited for him inside the garden. They talked for hours and hours. Their conversation almost touched on every subject. All the time, the princess wrapped herself tightly around the arms of the prince, never letting go. Suddenly, the prince stood up and announced, â€Å"l must leave at once, Marring Magna! It's about midnight. If don't depart at once I won't be able to return home. Stay put. But I want you to remember you're the one love,† as he threw a gentle kiss on the petal lips of Marring Magna. The princess tried to stop the prince as she grabbed his arms with all her might. She could not bear the fact his lover would abandon her. While tugging at each other, suddenly the prince disappeared and left his arms behind held teen the palms of Marring Magna. The princess was shocked at this that she runs quickly to a corner of the garden and buried the arms. A few days after, there sprouted a strange plant on the spot where she buried the arms. It had wide leaves but no branches. A few days more, the tree shed flowers, everyday thereafter, she would visit the plant. Then a few days later, it bore fruits in the place of its flowers. The fruits came in bunches, eac h bunch looked like fingers set side by side and laid parallel to each other. These became known as the first banana fruits in the world. A very long time ago, in what is now the town of Cantina in Racial, there lived a woman named Jamaican who was well-known not only to the people of her native town but also to those of the neighboring towns. She was greatly admired for her beauty and wealth as she belonged to a rich family. But above all, she was very much loved and was highly respected by everyone for she possessed a king and generous heart.Charity was something inborn in her. Even as a little girl she would give kindly to each and every beggar who would pass by their house to ask for alms. She would also often go out of her way to invite the poor children in the trees to the house and let them play with her toys. As she grew up, she continued on with his charitable acts. It became a usual scene every Sunday morning when she came home after mass to see a long line of beggars, wai ting for her at the foot of the stairs. With open hands and an understanding heart, she would see to it that their needs are attended to.She would personally hand in food, toys, clothes, money and the like according to what each of them would ask from her. Her goodness was very much appreciated by her town mates who made her more endeared to them. Unfortunately, Jamaican was not as lucky in love as most other beautiful omen her age were who got married and had children. She didn't fall in love again when her first love got sick and died. She remained an old maid even after her parents have both died and was left alone in the house. Instead, she devoted her time and wealth caring for the needy. To openly express their gratitude and respect she truly deserves as would be fitting to one as elderly a woman she has come to be regarded, people began addressing her as â€Å"Aka Anta† – â€Å"Aka† woman and â€Å"Anta† which is short for Jamaican. Altogether, â₠¬Å"Aka Anta† became more than just a name; the name itself became a symbol of â€Å"salvation to the needy†. One Christmas day, like all previous Christmas, many poor folks flocked to the home of Aka Anta for the usual yuletide giveaways. Short of their expectations, Aka Anta was not by the open window for the first time in years. They called out to her but there was no reply, nor did anyone come to the window. They tried altogether to call out to her several times, but again there was no response. Anxious and all that, a number of them decided to enter the house if anything was the matter. As the door opened, they see Aka Anta lying on the floor. Certain she was dead, the women began to scream, the men made the sign of the cross. There followed loud weeping as they affectionately cried out her name, â€Å"Aka Anta! Aka Anta†. The more they were moved to tears when they noticed the gifts lying on the floor Aka Anta had prepared for them. x
